On Sunday, Nov 18th, the Judson High School Men took part in a brand new festival for male choir students at the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts. This event, called “Boys To Men” was presented by the Children’s Chorus of San Antonio, and featured choirs from local middle and high schools. Special guests were two professional San Antonio men's choirs, Illumen and The Marcsmen. The concert culminated in a 400-voice choir conducted by Dr. Ryan Garrison of the CCSA, Dr. Gary Seighman of Trinity University, and Judson’s own choir director, David Short! The Judson men shined on stage and showed Rocket Pride throughout the day-long clinic. Way to go Judson Choir

Go Public has launched its Cool Schools campaign again this year and the month of December the focus is on Judson ISD. You get to let everyone know which school you think is the coolest by voting. Each school has a specific program that sets them apart from other schools and based on that, you can pick which one you think deserves some airtime on KSAT-TV. They will be the subject of a special feature about the school and its special program. So go to the website by CLICKING HERE and see which one you think is the COOL SCHOOL in Judson ISD!

Prior to the Thanksgiving break, Candlewood Elementary students and their families were invited to participate in an evening of student-led conferencing. The school has given a special name to these meetings. They are our State of the Eagle Addresses! Students had the opportunity to share their successes and their goals by looking at work samples and data. The goal is to have these occur throughout the year to ensure continued engaging communication of student milestones.

Thank you to Mathnasium Math Learning Center of Converse! The Woodlake Faculty and Staff refrigerator and freezer were completely stocked after winning a contest being run by Mathnasium on Facebook. It was a concerted effort of help from employees, family members, parents, and friends. Not only was our refrigerator stocked, but we were also rewarded with extra goodies such as napkins, plasticware, coffee, bagels, chips, salsa, and candy. Winning this contest, by working together, shows that our school and community are working together.
